Furniture Design

Functional Art
at the Next Level

From in-class collaborations and critiques to real-world work experiences, MCAD furniture design majors spend days welding, sandblasting, drilling, sewing, and more. With access to a comprehensive range of tools and materials, students design and fabricate furniture that blends functional forms with expressive style. Additionally, there is an emphasis on experimentation and cross-pollination with other practices, like sculpture, to broaden what’s possible in your work.
